Abstract:   (94 Views)
Background and Objective: The creation and development of responsibility in the medical education system requires the training of expert and responsive human resources through modern educational methods who are sufficiently familiar with the multidimensional concepts of health and how to achieve them. Educating capable graduates who can effectively respond to healthcare needs highlights the importance of implementing responsive medical education programs in universities.
Methods: This qualitative study was conducted with the aim of explaining the responsive medical education program model from the perspective of academic staff members of Babol University of Medical Sciences. In the first stage, the background of responsive medical education was reviewed and interview questions were designed. In the next stage, information was collected through interviews with expert faculty members in the field of responsive medical education. After coding the data, the responsive medical program model was developed from the perspective of the academic staff.
Findings: The results of the study showed eleven general categories in the form of a paradigm model including causal conditions (empowering faculty members based on responsibility in medical education in line with the program for transformation and innovation in medical education, approved directives and regulations for responsibility in medical education), pivot phenomenon (participation in the design and implementation of responsive medical programs), and contextual conditions (national macro-programs regarding responsibility in medical education, academic operational programs in line with the implementation of accountable medicine).
Conclusion: This study showed that the empowerment of faculty members, participation in the design and implementation of responsive programs, and national macro-plans are key factors in developing a responsive medical education program model in Babol University of Medical Sciences.  It is suggested that the proposed conceptual model of this research be utilized as a basis for developing similar programs in other universities of medical sciences in order to push the educational system towards more responsibility.
