Additionally, questions related to prescription writing principles and medication knowledge were completed before and after the intervention. A satisfaction survey regarding the workshop was also completed after the intervention. Finally, the data were entered into SPSS V. 27 and analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics.
Findings: The mean score of students in the section of medication knowledge before the intervention was 5.90±1.20, which significantly increased to 6.80±1.57 after the intervention (p=0.001). Furthermore, in the section of prescription writing principles and the overall mean scores of students significantly increased after the intervention (p=0.001). The mean satisfaction scores of students regarding the workshop were also high.
Conclusion: Considering the effect of the training course on enhancing students' knowledge about prescription writing and pharmacology principles, educational policymakers should plan for continuous education throughout their studies to achieve competency in this area.
