Investigation of the Effectiveness of Virtual Education in Covid-19 Pandemic from the Perspective of Professors and Students of Kermanshah University of Medical Science

Background and Objective: Virtual education is one of the new ways to develop educational justice in the contemporary world by taking advantage of the advances in the information and communication technology industry. The purpose of this research is to Investigation of the Effectiveness of Virtual Education in Covid-19 Pandemic from the Perspective of Professors and Students of Kermanshah University of Medical Science.
Methods: The statistical population of this research is 27 professors and 149 students. To collect information, a standardized questionnaire was used to measure the effectiveness of the virtual training course, which includes 10 components.
Findings: The results showed that there was no significant difference between the opinions of professors and students in the average score of the effectiveness of the training course, although students have positive opinions about the effectiveness of the virtual training course. The average component of the organization of educational materials from the point of view of professors (18.96±2.31) was higher than students (16.90±4.36), and this difference was significant (p<0.003). Also, the average flexibility component in students (6.23±2.27), in professors (4.85±1.76) and feedback component in students (12.74±4.14), in professors (15±3.29) It was found that this difference was significant in both components (p<0.003). No significant difference was observed in the rest of the components.
Conclusion: In order to help the expansion of virtual education, it is possible to take advantage of such things as holding training courses for teachers, providing the necessary facilities and providing support-encouragement packages.
