Background: The primary angiitis of the central nervous system (PACNS) is an entity with a very low incidence and prevalence. It is not clear why the inflammatory process of this entity is limited to the cerebral vasculature without systemic manifestations.
Case report: We reported here that a patient with motor symptoms and multiple intracranial lesions were diagnosed with vasculitis by imaging and biopsy techniques, and eventually the patient was treated with corticosteroid and cytotoxic therapy.
Conclusion: Accuracy in symptoms and clinical suspicion of general and inherent symptoms, which may be seen in many diseases, will cause a faster diagnosis of the disease and save the patient's life. In addition, cytotoxic drugs side effects should be fully considered.
Keywords: Primary Angiitis, Nervous System, cytotoxic therapy
