Increasing the Therapeutic Performance of Stem Cells using Nano pcl-gelatine Scaffolds in Tissue Engineering

Backgrounds and objective: Tissue engineering using nano created a new perspective on the therapeutic use of stem cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of nanofiber polycaprolactone (PCL)-gelatin  scaffold on the efficacy of CD93 stem cells.
Methods: Nano scaffold-PCL gelatin was prepared by electrospining. The 15 mice were divided into three groups: control group, cell receptor group (Cell) and cell + scaffold receptor group (Cell + Receptor), 6 mm circular skin lesions were created on each skin and the parameters of epidermis and follicle formation hair in the wound site was evaluated using H & E staining and Image J and SPSS softwares.
Findings: An appropriate population of CD93 transplanted cells until the 28 day after transplantation was observed on the nano Pcl- gelatin scaffold at the site of the wound, the thickness of the epidermis in the cell (Cell + Scaffold) group was significantly more thicker than the control group ( P <0.05). The highest and lowest number of hair follicle formation in the wounds occurred on day 28 in the control and cell + scaffold groups were 5.2± 0.2 and4.2 ± 0.3, respectively (P <0.01)
Conclusion: Nano pcl-gelatin scaffold is compatible with CD93 stem cells at the site of the wound, and its use can significantly increase the therapeutic efficacy of these cells at the site of the ulcers, and may be used in the future as a nano dressing.
