fa بررسی فراوانی هایپرتانسیورتینوپاتی در سالمندان شهر امیرکلا در سال 91-1390‏ The Study of the Frequency of Hypertensive Retinopathy in the Elderly at ‎Amirkola Town During 2011-2012‎ چشم پزشکی Ophthalmology مقطعی Cross Sectional سابقه و هدف: با افزایش سن احتمال ابتلا به فشار خون افزایش یافته، به دنبال آن احتمال رتینوپاتی نیز بیشتر می شود. با توجه به این که با ایجاد هر گونه عارضه چشمی در افراد سالمند، نیاز به سیستم سلامت عمومی، سرویس های پزشکی و اجتماعی افزایش می یابد. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی فراوانی هایپرتانسیورتینوپاتی در جمعیت سالمندان شهر امیرکلا انجام گرفته است.<o:p /> مواد و روشها: این مطالعه مقطعی بر روی کلیه افراد 60 سال و بالاتر شهر امیرکلا واقع در شمال ایران انجام گرفت. این بیماران جهت معاینه روتین چشم به درمانگاه چشم بیمارستان آیت اله روحانی در طی سال های 91-1390 ارجاع گردیدند. معاینات کامل چشمی توسط چشم پزشک انجام شد و شواهد و یافته های قطعی فتوگرافی از درجات مختلف هایپرتانسیورتینوپاتی در یک یا هر دو چشم شناسایی شده و مورد بررسی قرارگرفت.<o:p /> یافتهها: از 505 بیمار مورد بررسی در این مطالعه، 65 نفر(12/9%) دچار هایپرتنسیورتینوپاتی بودند. که مدت ابتلا به فشار خون بالا در 10 نفر(15/4%)بیشتر از 10 سال و 55 نفر(84/6%) کمتر از 10 سال بود(0/0001 p<)، همچنین 18 نفر(27/7%) سابقه هایپرلیپیدمی داشتند در حالیکه 47 نفر(72/3%) هیچگونه سابقه ای نداشتند(0/005=p).<o:p /> نتیجه گیری: نتایج مطالعه نشان داد که فراوانی هیپرتنسیورتینوپاتی در سالمندان بالا می باشد. بنابراین کنترل فشار خون و لیپیدهای سرم به طور مرتب توصیه می شود.<o:p /> BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: The risk of high blood pressure increases to a great extend with increasing age which, in turn, raises the risk of retinopathy. Given the high prevalence of ophthalmic complications in the advanced ages, there is a growing need for public health and medical services. This study aims to determine the frequency of hypertensive retinopathy in the elderly, in Amirkola town.<o:p />METHODS: This cross-sectional study was performed on all patients aged 60 or above, residing in Amirkola town, Iran. All the patients were referred to the eye clinic of Ayatollah Rouhani Hospital during 2011-2012. Comprehensive ophthalmic examinations were performed by an ophthalmologist. Based on the obtained definitive evidence and photographic findings, various degrees of hypertensive retinopathy in one or both eyes were detected and assessed.<o:p />FINDINGS: Among the 505 studied patients, 65 patients (12.9%) were suffering from hypertensive retinopathy. About 10 (15.4%) patients were suffering from high blood pressure for more than ten years. Moreover, 55 patients (84.6%) had hypertension for less than 10 years (p<0.0001). A total of 18 patients (27.7%) had history of hyperlipidemia, while 47 patients (72.3%) had no history of it (p=0.005).<o:p /> CONCLUSION: The obtained results of our study indicated that the frequency of hypertensive retinopathy in the elderly patients was high.
